SPORTS SUNDAY - Debuting on a new playing surface, no one enjoyed the new turf at South more than Bruins junior Danny Lahai.

The EDC leading rusher only had 14 rushes, but he made them count going for 260 yards and accounting for five total touchdowns as South won 46-6 to stay undefeated in the EDC.

Shanley and St. Mary's added another chapter to their historic rivalry. The Deacons shut down the Saints high flying offense, who average 37 points going into Friday, in a 14-7 gritty, hard fought win.

Don't look now, but Fargo North is in the hunt for a playoff spot. The Spartans defense would make Gerard Butler proud. North picked off West Fargo four times en route to its first win over the Packers since 2008.

The Eagles continue to soar through the air. Ty Satter hauled in 6 catches for 100 yards and a touchdown as Davies flew over Red River 41-6.

In Class A is there anyone can slow down top ranked Hillsboro-Central Valley and the Oscar Benson show? The Vikings couldn't as Benson burst out for 210 yards on the ground and two scores as the Burros bulled over Kindred 26-7.

In Minnesota, East Grand Forks' Carter Beck had the Green Wave rolling early. Beck scored all of his five touchdowns in the first half in a 55-7 win over Thief River Falls. East Grand Forks is off to its best start in over a decade.

Coming off of his knee injury, Hawley's Jacob Vetter continues to get better and better. The Nuggets QB threw for over 200 yards and four scores. Hawley handed Breckenridge its first loss of the season in a 56-27 trouncing

The Rebels have rebound after starting their season 0-2. DGF grabbed the lead from Park Rapids in the second quarter and didn't let go to edge the Panthers, 14-12.

In 9-man second ranked Stephen-Argyle passed its toughest test of the season with a 26-8 win over Goodridge/Grygla.
