Icelandic Prime Minister joins ND festival
GRAND FORKS, ND--An Icelandic Prime Minister is flying in for a festival.
Katrín Jakobsdóttir is making her way to North Dakota to celebrate the Deuce of August Icelandic Celebration.
The Festival started yesterday, and ends on the 5th.
The Prime Minister is attending on Saturday, and she'll join the Morning Parade, and give a speech.
"The leadership of the government in Iceland, the people themselves, are so appreciative of the fact that we do put in all of this hard work to preserve and celebrate our heritage,” said Icelandic Communities Association President, Curtis Olaf.
This will be the 5th Prime Minister to join the celebration.
