Man arrested after burglary of a business in north Fargo
FARGO — Fargo police charged a man for attempting to burglarize a warehouse early Friday morning.
Zachary Antoni Payne, 30, of Fargo was also charged for refusing to halt, Sgt. Matt Ysteboe said.
Police were called to the 2600 block of First Avenue North, just a block away from their station, just after midnight on a report that Payne allegedly broke a window and was inside a commercial welding warehouse stealing belongings, Ysteboe said. Officers surrounded the building and allegedly saw Payne inside.
Ysteboe said Payne ran from the building but was captured about a block away and found with stolen items from the shop in his pockets.
No one was injured and police said Payne was not believed to be under the influence.
