FARGO — A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind attend an upcoming trial for a man accused of conspiring to kill the 22-year-old Fargo woman.

The GoFundMe page reads: “The second defendant in the case is now going to trial on Sept 18th, we are hoping to be in Fargo for the duration of the trial. With our financial situation right now that is not possible, so we are asking for a little help making this possible. Thank you all.”

The GoFundMe page can be found at www.gofundme.com/savanna-marie-greywind. As of Wednesday evening, Sept. 12, donations totalled $690, with a goal of $1,000.

LaFontaine-Greywind vanished from her Fargo apartment building in August 2017 when she was eight months pregnant. Her body was later found in the Red River, and her newborn baby was found in the apartment of Brook Crews and William Hoehn. The two faced multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit murder.

Crews pleaded guilty in the case and is serving a life sentence.

Hoehn pleaded guilty to charges of kidnapping and giving false information to police. His trial on conspiracy to commit murder is to start Tuesday, Sept. 18.
