Fargo man arrested after chase reaches 100 miles per hour
WEST FARGO – A Fargo man is in custody this morning after leading officers on a high-speed chase through construction, late Monday night.
Officers say it began just before 11:30, when they attempted to make a traffic stop after a car hit the curb in the 800 block of 17th Avenue.
The suspect vehicle then fled from the officer along 17th Avenue, heading westbound towards Sheyenne Street, hitting speeds of 75 mph in the construction zone.
Police say the vehicle then traveled east on 32nd Avenue, and north on Veterans Boulevard, nearing speeds of 100 mph, eventually nearing another construction zone over I-94.
West Fargo Police was forced to end the pursuit due to construction, but the suspect's vehicle was later located in Fargo.
27-year-old Chad Jonathon Ochsner of Fargo is booked in Cass County Jail and charged with felony reckless endangerment and fleeing in a motor vehicle.
