Snowy streets: Dozens of cars off GF roads
GRAND FORKS - As usual with the first storm, people need to brush up on their winter driving skills.
Three dozen cars went off the road around Grand Forks, and about half a dozen accidents were reported--all minor.
Police are reminding drivers to slow down, leave extra room between you and the next car and remember to be careful when changing lanes in this weather, especially on the highway.
"You get to two driving lanes and you get the slush built up. You have to remember that as you're changing lanes, that slush could and most times will pull you one direction or the other,” Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office Lt. BJ Maxson said.
Officers also says it's good practice to turn your headlights on whenever you have your windshield wipers on.
